Angela Morris' Canvas

MPLS Creative, Angela Morris, uses your face as her canvas to create one-of-a-kind works of art for whatever outing you may have planned. She is building a new Instagram following and just launched a new website to support her focus on, and passion for bridal makeup.

What does it mean to be a makeup artist?

I view each face as an unfinished canvas. I get to create with someone's features that are already there, emphasizing and bringing out their natural qualities. I really just love transforming faces and making people happy when they see what I've created–with bridal, editorial, couture, or period makeup.

So, really, everything you create is the result of a collaboration!

Yeah, I guess it is! Wow, that's rad.

You just recently switched all of your brushes over to vegan?! That's amazing. Why did you decide to do that?

It was something I had wanted to do for a long time and I just decided I was going to go for it.  I was able to sell my other kits to afford the vegan set. It's becoming more and more important to have vegan and gluten free makeup options for clients who have various skin sensitivity needs. I hope to incorporate more educational elements into my business; whether those be courses I teach or how-to kits I prepare.

If you could be a full time makeup artist for the rest of your life, would you be happy?
